About Me

I am originally from eastern Oklahoma but currently live in Memphis, TN. I attended Oklahoma State University for my undergraduate studies in English and the University of Arkansas - Little Rock for my graduate studies in counseling. I started out my counseling career in Oklahoma, and while my husband was in school in Denver, I obtained my Colorado credentials. I have worked in community, residential, educational, and Christian counseling settings.

While I make sure that I use the best treatment approach for my clients, I tend to lean towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. When a client reaches out for therapy, I want to make sure that I can help them find relief from their stressors as quickly as possible, and I feel that these counseling techniques lend themselves to these desired results. I truly enjoy watching clients transform into more confident individuals as they learn different ways to approach whatever they might encounter as they travel down their life's journey.

My counselor is awesome. She listens. She doesn’t act like she feels sorry for me, rather she actually helps. She is also proactive! Highly recommend.
