About Me

Welcome! I'm really happy you're here. Asking for help can be hard, and by starting your search, you've already taken a big step.

I'm Amy Seiders, a licensed marriage and family therapist and professional counselor. I've been in the counseling profession for 18 years. I have a rather eclectic overall approach to therapy, as I feel like one size doesn't fit all when it comes to people. My focus is on allocating time, patience, and encouragement so that you have a safe space to figure out your best path forward.

Personally, I'm the mother of two very active pre-teens, both of whom participate in competitive sports (figure skating and swimming). I also maintain a full-time role with a healthcare start up and our family fosters animals for a local rescue...so it's a noisy, busy, and sometimes overwhelming household! In my (very occasional) bouts of free time, I love to cook and use my family as test subjects for new recipes.

Congratulations again for taking this first big step toward change; if you feel it might be a fit, I'd love to be part of your team and your personal journey. But regardless of who you choose to work with, I believe you can make progress toward your goals.

This is the first counselor I've had who I feel "gets me." She listens and challenges me to think. I really appreciate her and look forward to our sessions.

I thought I would find it difficult to open up to a stranger but Amy is so easy to talk to that my concerns went away immediately. She's extremely proactive at checking in with me and makes therapy something I look forward to.

Amy has been great in building my confidence in myself and validating the emotions I'm feeling. She has pointed out really important patterns that have altered the way I think about my struggles and offers tools on how to help change those thought patterns. She is a great listener, great at responding to my messages, and I am so happy we were matched!

Amy has helped bring stability back in my life. Originally seeking therapy after a traumatic situation, Amy's wonderful approach and techniques helped - even after our very first session. I feel like a more whole and healthy individual because of our therapeutic relationship.

As a new member, I couldn’t feel more relieved to have been matched Amy Seiders. She asks a lot of important questions that allow me to dig deeper into my feelings and thoughts. She’s compassionate and she truly listens. She’s amazing!

I've really come to value my relationship with Amy. She is a great listener and often provides a perspective just different enough from my own that it's not jarring or unrelatable but helps me see things that I otherwise may not have. I appreciate her help in working through the difficult issues in my life and I'd definitely recommend her to anyone!

Amy has made me very comfortable from the very first chat and meet. I was a bit hesitant about zoom counseling at first but it has been great so far!

Amy is a wonderful counselor. I have only engaged with her via chatroom, but her warmth, humor and compassion really comes through on the digital platform. I was hesitant to try online counseling because I felt like the human element of conversation would be lost over text. Amy makes it work and I highly recommend her!

I've been helped more in 3 weeks than I have anywhere else. I love this experience.
