About me

Welcome! I'm really happy you're here. Asking for help can be hard, and by starting your search, you've already taken a big step.

I'm Amy Seiders, a licensed marriage and family therapist and professional counselor. I've been in the counseling profession for 18 years. I have a rather eclectic overall approach to therapy, as I feel like one size doesn't fit all when it comes to people. My focus is on allocating time, patience, and encouragement so that you have a safe space to figure out your best path forward.

Personally, I'm the mother of two very active pre-teens, both of whom participate in competitive sports (figure skating and swimming). I also maintain a full-time role with a healthcare start up and our family fosters animals for a local rescue...so it's a noisy, busy, and sometimes overwhelming household! In my (very occasional) bouts of free time, I love to cook and use my family as test subjects for new recipes.

Congratulations again for taking this first big step toward change; if you feel it might be a fit, I'd love to be part of your team and your personal journey. But regardless of who you choose to work with, I believe you can make progress toward your goals.

Amy is gentle, kind and transparent. She never forces a conversation but always guides me to the places I struggle to find myself. She is a phenomenal listener and very considerate. I feel completely safe in speaking with her and sharing my thoughts.

Amy is great! She recognizes patterns and behaviors in me before I am aware of them and knows just the right questions to ask to help me see it on my own.

Amy has been very helpful for me during a few big transitional moments. She listens, helps me identify thought and behavior patterns, and provides me with concrete tools.

Amy is an amazing therapist - I tend to ramble and she is great at both listening to my rambles as well as helping me focus in on what the main issue is. She is very accommodating with my schedule and checks in at least once a week to know how things are going. She's relatable and makes therapy fun. I highly recommend her!

This is the first counselor I've had who I feel "gets me." She listens and challenges me to think. I really appreciate her and look forward to our sessions.

Amy has been great in building my confidence in myself and validating the emotions I'm feeling. She has pointed out really important patterns that have altered the way I think about my struggles and offers tools on how to help change those thought patterns. She is a great listener, great at responding to my messages, and I am so happy we were matched!
