Hello There! Reaching out to talk to a counselor is not easy!. I am very proud of you for taking the first step in asking for help and being ready to conquer the challenges you are facing.

My name is Gabriela Ortiz (You can call me Gaby!) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Texas with over 5 years of experience, looking to serve you! I completed my education at the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley, where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Counseling & Guidance.
Throughout my career as a counselor, I have had the pleasure of working with clients that present a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, stress, intellectual Disabilities, PTSD, experienced trauma/ abuse , immigration issues, self-harming behavior, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ Issues and academic/career concerns.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I appreciate all my clients from varying backgrounds, lifestyles and belief systems! My goal as your counselor is to meet you with respect, sensitivity, compassion and without judgement. My mission is to utilize eclectic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused , dialectical behavioral and psychodynamic interventions to help you overcome any challenge you are facing in your life. I firmly believe in creating counseling goals and treatment plans together, so it is designed to meet your unique and specific needs.!

My role as your therapist is to support you and guide you into finding answers and solutions to the obstacles you face and empower you to live your best life. Stop holding onto that pain that is preventing you from moving forward. I can't wait to start working with you!
