Welcome and congratulations on taking that first step toward reclaiming your peace! It takes courage to reach out and I am glad you are here!
I believe all individuals have within them what they need to produce effective change. I see my role as your counselor as helping you discover your strengths and use those to guide you toward optimal mental health and a fulfilling, happier life. I do this using techniques and approaches from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)and motivational interviewing. These approaches focus on mindfulness, thought patterns, and patterns of behavior that have led to distress. However, all therapy is tailored to each client individually based on his or her needs. I will work along side you as you move toward making the changes to be happier and healthier in life.
I have a Masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Regent University and worked as a registered nurse for 17 years prior to my graduate studies. This gives me a unique skill set in understanding the link between your mental health and physical health. However, my degree just gives me an understanding of the approaches. I do have expertise, but you are the expert on you. We will work as a team to help you get to where you want to be.
Therapy involves motivation and work on the part of the client and the therapist. Walking along side you on this journey of life is a privilege and honor. I look forward to working with you and welcome your story!

Very helpful, Andra challenges me with my issues. My comfort level has risen and I can talk with her about anything. She has helped me to create a space for me that is safe and i can express myself, feelings, and thoughts. This helps me to resolve my issues and I can live a productive life.

She is very professional and so kind. She listens like a best friend and has helped me grow so much. I am so grateful I’ve had her through the quarantine that’s for sure! I highly recommend her.

I have already recommended both Andra and the BetterHelp platform to several people. I feel as if I am making progress in multiple areas with her support.

Andra has been a Saint in disguise for me. I have seen many therapists, and always appreciated the work but never really connected with the therapist. The last thing I thought I’d get from tele-therapy, is a BETTER therapist than any I’ve ever had. Andra makes me feel as though my time and effort towards self healing is valuable and worth it. I could not have asked for a better experience. I have recommended it to everyone I know. But Andra has made my experience with BetterHelp, a phenomenal one.

Andra has been an amazing rock to me for over a year. She is extremely knowledgeable in many different areas and knows how to read in between the lines when I’m not being honest with her or myself.
I could go on and on about how amazing this woman is and how much she’s helped me!

I have been seeing Andra for just shy of a year now. I have been incredibly happy with the matching process on BetterHelp that led me to her. She has seen me through some tumultuous experiences in my life and I have been incredibly grateful to have her expertise and guidance toward thoughtful reflection. She roots for me, she guides me, she challenges me, she supports me. She’s given me resources galore and I feel like I have made a lot of progress since consulting with her. A little bit of spice but everything nice, Andra is the best!
