Are you struggling with facing the day to day stressors that life throws at you? Are you trying to overcome a trauma from your past that has continued to haunt you? Maybe you're in need of a supportive, listening ear? Are you having trouble identifying certain issues in your life and hoping to get some support in addressing them? Maybe your unique situation is a combination of all of the above, or none of them at all. No matter what you're facing, reaching out for some support is great first step and as a member of the BetterHelp community I am here to provide that therapeutic support you've been searching for!
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Washington. I received my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2013. I also completed a Bachelor's of Social Work from Seattle University in 2011. I have over six years of experience providing therapeutic services to clients of all ages and their families, including direct clinical practice. In my most recent experience, I have worked specifically with Older Adults (age 60+), but I also have several years of experience working with youth and adults. I have extensive experience working in community mental health and specialize in working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, and trauma.
My therapeutic approach focuses first on building rapport with you, as the client, and determining your overall goals for treatment-including both short and long-term goals. The next step to my approach is to discuss, as a team, the best way to help you reach those goals. This includes treatment planning, reviewing modalities and approaches, and discussing any previous treatment experience you may have had (what worked, what didn't work). I lean heavily on a Solution-Focused approach, as well as Motivational Interviewing techniques, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I feel it is important to provide a safe space for sharing, reflecting, and growing. My approach is malleable to fit your unique needs and I utilize treatment planning as well as traditional therapeutic techniques to ensure a comprehensive approach. I also lean heavily on the development of coping skills to assist you in addressing day to day challenges.
I was born and raised in the Seattle area and take an inclusive approach to my counseling practice. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and encourage diversity in my client population. I pride myself on creating a safe and judgment-free space to address your specific and individual needs.
I look forward to working together to meet your treatment goals. As a team, we will move toward a foundation of stability and well-being.

Andrea has a very gifted way of taking a strange stream of consciousness and quickly boiling it down to a couple of specific points and helpful suggestions. She has a very special gift of interpreting a lot of thoughts and emotions and streamlining them into smaller pieces you can logically work on. She makes thing seem doable, and is very caring and reassuring.
Andrea is seriously the best counselor! I've gone through different counselors in my life, but none of them were able to identify key issues and improve my life like Andrea did. She's hands down the best there is.
Andrea is fantastic, she's an amazing listener and makes me feel heard. Her help is concise and applicable to my specific situation.
Brilliant, insightful, talented, professional - helped me so much.
I have been working with Andrea for the past few weeks and I really appreciate her support and guidance along the way. She is caring and easy to talk to. I can feel that she truly cares about my wellbeing and I can trust her. She offers great feedback too. Highly recommended.
Andrea is very caring, understanding and easy to talk with. I highly recommend her!
Andrea has done an amazing job with helping me to deal better with my personal issues. She is exceedingly supportive, sensitive, and positively stimulating at the same time. It is easy to notice that she puts a lot of thought into her responses. I consider her to be the best counselor I've had the pleasure of working with so far.
Andrea has helped me beyond what I expected. It had been years since I have been to a psychologist and I was very nervous to start again. As soon as we had our first session, I felt I could trust her and she would try her best to help me. Its been a little over two months now that I have been doing sessions and my life has completely changed. There are still bumps in the road ahead, but I am confident Andrea will help me go over them.
Holds me to what I will say I will do but still is bit judgmental when I don't follow through. Have really appreciated her counsel and expertise.
Andrea has done a fantastic job making this service work for me and offers great support on my journey forward.
Great counselor, exceeded my expectations. Andrea was able to quickly understand the challenges I'm going through and work with me to solve them. She doesn't tell you what to do, instead, she works with you to figure out what's the best solution(s) for your situation. Highly recommended.
Andrea is very good at her job. She managed to confront me with things in the sessions already- there was something important. No therapist has ever been able to do this before!
Andrea is a great listener and provides great material!!
I've been working with Andrea for a few weeks so far, and she has been helping me a lot. Sometimes I pour my thoughts out in a stream-of-consciousness way, just stringing thought after thought, and she's really good at tying everything together and connecting points, thus making me see my thoughts from a different perspective.
Andrea is so kind and very understanding. She remembers all details you share, and really goes the extra mile to help you.
