About me
I graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma, Norman Campus, in May of 2018, and in late 2020, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Work in the State of Oklahoma. I am currently licensed in Oklahoma (7680), Oregon (L13091), and North Dakota (6238). After graduating, for a brief period of time I worked in HIV/AIDS care and then transitioned to a community mental health center as an intake and then case load therapist for almost 3 years. I have experience working with clients that have various forms of childhood and adult trauma and abuse (including verbal/emotional, physical, and sexual), substance abuse disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, aging issues, sex/sexuality, gender identity, and various other difficulties people have in life.
I am a holistic practitioner focusing on all three aspects of health , mental/emotional, physical, and spiritual (religion/spiritual and/or other enriching activities that feed who we are) health, as all three domains of health affect each other. I am an LGBTQIA2 affirming and a sex positive/kink friendly therapist. I am also knowledgeable and supportive in the use of medical cannabis in managing mental health disorders. I believe in treating the whole person in an accepting and affirming environment without judgement.
I have training in CBT and CAMS (suicidality), but am generally an eclectic therapist utilizing modalities needed to best assist my client, including psychoanalytical therapy, narrative therapy, DBT and mindfulness, exposure therapy, and solution focused therapy. I have worked successfully with clients from the age of 8 through 72 from various socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, all skin tones, all sexes, and binary and nonbinary/trans genders. I enjoy helping people to clarify their goals and giving them the tools they need to achieve those goals and thrive, living the life they want. If you don’t see an open time that can work with your schedule, please reach out and I may be able to accommodate your needs.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Andrew Bentley. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
He is very kind and has a lot of clarity which is very helpful to me, he helps me see myself better. He is also very non judgemental which makes being honest in therapy easier.
Andrew is very patient. Andrew has allowed me to unpack my issues without judgment. I think he is truly awesome
It’s good
I had my first appointment with Andi at a time of intense emotional drama and major life changes. He has helped walk me through these difficult times with a wide knowledge base, personal experience, an open mind and a kind heart. I feel comfortable talking to him about anything and confident that he will hear me and help me to see what I can't see or don't understand. I intend to continue working with Andi even beyond working through these issues.
Andi has given me diverse tools in understanding my relationships and in setting my own boundaries. Andi is a strong mental health professional and he has helped me greatly.
Great I’m every aspect of therapy.
Amazing, would highly recommend Andy to all of my friends!
Andrew is incredibly responsive, supportive and encouraging. He makes me feel seen, heard and validated.. and that feels really freaking good! I trust him and value his boundaries, communication and expertise.
Been needing a queer therapist and this one’s the one
Andrew has changed my mind about therapy. He's proven to me that it's about finding the right person.
He has a ton of patience putting up with my difficult personality. Hes charming and knowledgeable, and I naturally feel opencwhen speaking with him. He has me on the right path!
Superb therapist. Exceptional experience & insightful approach to addressing issues together.
Andrew saved me
Andrew has been the best therapist I’ve had during my time giving a therapy a shot. He is what I envisioned my therapist to be like. He really listens and gives great feedback. He also challenges you and digs into what’s on your mind. Great guy who is also very interesting himself
Andi is amazing, has helped me let go of anger that I’ve held on to for years and shows real understanding of all the different issues I’ve talked about. Couldn’t recommend more
Great listener, reliable and helpful. One of the best I've known.
Andi is a wonderful human being and a fantastic therapist. He offered me so much valuable insight that helped me deal with many personal challenges. If you are looking for someone who is wise, open, compassionate, and a great listener - this is the guy for you.
I love Andi. A really great supporter and gives me the best advice even if it's something that will hurt my feelings. Very nice too!
Andi has been a fantastic therapist - I'd go as far as the best I've ever had (and I have had quite a few). He is kind, supportive and always knows how to help me think in a different way. Reassuring when I need it and challenging when I need it too. Highly recommend.
Andi is excellent, I feel more hopeful than I have in a very long time.
My therapist is awesome
I really come out of the sessions feeling hopeful and more positive. Also Andi is there for me if I need to message him and reply’s back in a good manner.
Andi is wonderful. I didn't think therapy would be for me but he proved me wrong. He's so helpful and encouraging in every step of the way, and it really feels like you can talk to him about anything.
A very gentle, non-judgemental & understanding therapist willing to adapt to the patients direct needs with different types of therapy. Fully recommend.
