About me

Are you feeling stuck in life? Feeling like your fears, past experiences, or any problems preventing you from unlocking your potential and finding happiness and meaning? Do you struggle with depression, anxiety, parenting, addictions of any kind, or anything else that makes life more difficult than you want it to be?
I want to applaud you for having the courage to take the first step to improve yourself. It is my desire to help you on your journey to making a life that you want for yourself.
I am an LPC who has a Masters of Counselor Education at Louisiana Lafayette where I graduated in 2015. Since then, I have extensive experience in working with clients with depression, anxiety, addictions, grief, and trauma, as well as helping provide support to clients with parenting issues.
My belief is that clients are the experts of their own lives, and they ultimately are responsible for knowing what makes them happy and what makes them grow was people. In my experience, every client who is truly motivated for change will make major positive changes in their life when they trust the therapeutic process As your counselor, my goal is to help provide you with a voice of empathy and direction that can help make this wonderful journey more fulfilling.
I employ different types of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution-focused, Narrative therapy, and others. My overall approach is tailored specifically to each client, and what works best with them. Generally, I like to start with clients from a solution-focused perspective, where they will identify the immediate problems that affect their daily living, and to help better cope with these obstacles. Once we have some success, I want to help clients identify the deep-seated issues that contribute to these issues and to help the client develop a solid foundation as to how to combat their difficulties in the future.
I believe everyone can greatly benefit from counseling. Life is a wonderful, exciting journey, and no one has to go through it alone. Again, I applaud you for making the decision to better yourself today!
