What do you want clients to know about you?
Are you looking for a place to learn new coping skills to help manage life's ups & downs? Do you need to learn how to be kinder to yourself and improve your self-esteem? I would like to partner with you to help you achieve your goals! I am a LCSW in the state of Illinois. I have worked with clients whose concerns range from mild to moderate anxiety, mild to moderate depression, & general stress. My experience includes community mental health, school social work, and Employee Assistance Programs.
What is your approach to therapy?
As a therapist my primary objective is to offer empathetic listening, support and a non-biased perspective. Utilizing a combination of Solution Focused Therapy and components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I offer professional yet empathetic listening. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Client can expect to take away from our sessions a sense of improved insight and self-awareness, validation in the sense of being heard, and at times reading material and/or homework to help reinforce new skills.

To keep it short and sweet, she addresses what you say is the problem straight on. She makes me feel comfortable, heard and validated my feelings. I went through so many therapists in hopes to find one that I feel I could work with well, and I’m happy that I found her.

I have never seen a therapist before so I wasn't sure how it would be. Aneka is a calming presence that I need right now. My issues are anxiety/depression and obsessive behavior. After three sessions she has helped me deal with my issues and I look forward to the sessions and learning more about what I need to work on.

Aneka has greatly helped me work on myself in tough situations with codependency and relationships and boundries. She works in a variety of ways with worksheets and helpful educational articles. I am so appreciative to have her.

Aneka was lovely to speak to as she listened to me unconditionally and was able to provide me with insight and tools. She would check up on me weekly and read my journal entries to keep updated with my life. Aneka was empathic and honest. My short time working with her made me feel better.
