Hello! Thank you for taking your time to check out my profile and for considering me as your counselor. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Montana with many years of experience supporting clients in overcoming their mental health concerns. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Montana and my Bachelors in Psychology with a Minor in Women's and Gender Studies from Montana State University prior to that. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, relationship stress, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and anger issues. I specialize in helping people improve their mental health in order to take control of their lives.
I believe that therapy is something that anyone can benefit from at anytime once they find the right therapist. I tailor my counseling style to each individual I work with so that they can get their individual needs met from the therapeutic relationship. My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) work with an emphasis in building hope and empowerment. I have many different skills and techniques in my skill-set based on experience with and training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma processing, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I integrate these therapy approaches with my knowledge of psychology to best help my clients understand what causes them to do what they do, how their mind and body work, what to do to make changes, and ultimately help them lead their best lives.
There are so many things that go into making us who we are and making the lives we live what they are, but I know that everyone has the ability to empower the positives in themselves and others and change the negatives they wish to change. Everything in our life is connected and by making even the smallest changes we can change the world we live in. You have the power to live the life you want, and I am here to help you get there if you choose.
Jon Kabat-Zinn writes, “As long as you are breathing, there is more right with you than there is wrong, no matter how ill or how hopeless you may feel.” I believe this, and if there is any anything that you decide to believe, I hope you choose this belief too.
If you're ready to start talking and working on things, I'm ready to start supporting you in that process.

Therapy sessions with Angel helped me complete graduate school while I was over 1,500 miles from home. Her guidance and continuous support helped me produce my best work and gave me the courage to finish despite several adversities.
Angel has completely changed my outlook on so many situations in my life. She is professional, caring, and offers great tools to help me move forward with my mental health. She is consistently here for me and is a phenomenal therapist. I have already recommended her to everyone I know struggling to find therapy!
She is so understanding and takes the time to help. She always responds in a timely manor and it’s always a message to boost me up and shines light on the dark hole I find myself in. I’m so happy I met Angel
Angel is a warm and kind person. She above all else made me feel comfortable (as I have a tendency to be nervous). She was flexible with scheduling and did video and phone calls with me because I believe sometimes feelings can get lost in translation (text). She was never intrusive and listened to my concerns. I asked why I had certain issues and she was able to break down the basic mechanics of how brains work. I had an in-person psychologist before telling me to, "just breathe" and drove me crazy because I didn't understand the reasoning behind it. Angel introduced that reasoning that I needed and it was super helpful! She gave me simple solutions that I am applying now. I feel better and it's lovely having someone to talk to who cares. Plus, she has a cat and it popped up on the camera to say hello. It was hilarious. When I've "hit another wall" I will be sure to use Angel again!
