Thank you for checking my profile! I have a Master of Science in Counseling from a CACREP accredited school earned in 2017 at Capella University. I am a fully Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC), license number 6401019101. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors, certificate number 1378303. Due to my NCC, I regularly participate in continued education courses to ensure I am using evidence-based techniques.
My areas of special training and experience include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, person-center/client centered, mindfulness, forgiveness therapy, depression, anxiety, abuse, reintegration due to incarceration, families with a loved one incarcerated, creating boundaries, self-care, post-traumatic stress, insecurities, grief/loss, anger, and general life dissatisfaction.
My approach to therapy is called eclectic. This is a philosophy of Psychotherapy utilizes techniques and theories from all approaches. I have found that certain approaches do not work for some clients. I have found that using a wide variety of techniques help to customize treatment specifically for the client. These techniques are likely to include dialogue, exploring your expectations, exploring your perceptions/beliefs/attitudes, interpretation, cognitive reframing, mindfulness, awareness exercises, self-monitoring experiments, self-care training, aroma therapy, visualization, journal keeping, drawing, and reading books. I strive to empower the people I work with while providing a safe place for people to grow, learn, or change.

Angel is an amazing therapist who I recommend 100%. She is such a kind soul, I feel so safe with her. She has helped me for more than 6 months now with anxiety grief and I am so thankful for her kindness, her humorous yet professional approach, her advice and expertise!
I've only had a couple sessions but I am very optimistic, I'm excited to continue to work more with Angel.
Angle you are very kind and understanding! I really enjoy appreciate your input.
Angel has been so lovely to work with, I have gone from feeling like I will be stuck in a state of anxiety forever to feeling hopeful and pretty calm quite quickly. She has recommend multiple tools I can use ongoingly so I feel like I know what to do whenever anxiety pops up. Highly recommended - thank you Angel!
Angel is amazing. She has helped guide me to recognise and step into my own strength.
Angel lives upto her name ;)
Seriously though, this woman is amazing at what she does.
And what she does is get you thinking in the right mindset.
Angel continues to help me work through my issues within my relationship and job along with helping me to recognize and cope with my past traumas. She asks questions and suggests solutions to my problems, and I look forward to continuing my therapy with her.
I would HIGHLY recommend working with Angel. She was thoughtful, kind, and gave me fantastic, practical tips to help me address issues around stress and anxiety.
Angel is the best therapist I have ever had, she is so kind, compassionate, and human in her interactions with me, and I really enjoy our sessions together. I could not recommend Angel more.
Angel always makes me feel like she knows exactly what to do which is what I have been missing in my life so far
Angel is a wonderful therapist. She was extremely helpful and understanding. I definitely felt like my issues were being heard and she offered helpful suggestions and homework to help guide me towards solutions to the stress and anxiety I was experiencing.
Awesome therapist. Angel gently understands the things you are struggling with but is also not afraid to point out the ways you need to be better to yourself. Kind of of like a good friend that wants what's best for you. :) Would highly recommend!
I’m really enjoying my sessions with Angel, I come away feeling more empowered and she really helps me to untangle my thoughts and work through things. I would definitely recommend Angel.
Angel was a very good therapist, even though she wasn't specifically trained to help me. She was very easy to talk to and kind
Angel has been amazing at piecing together the different aspects of my life to work collectively towards better mental health. She’s able to guide and encourage me to reflect, allowing me to consider my thoughts and life in a different way. Angel creates a safe space where I can not only be authentic, but also accountable.
Working with Angel made me feel seen, heard and connected. Every session felt like a warm break from the cold world (not to be dramatic) but she shares her light and warmth it really makes for an environment that helps you to connect the dots and process everyday life.
Angel has been a fantastic therapist for me. My previous experiences with therapists never worked for me, but this has been a revelation of how it can work when you click with a person. She has not been shy about giving practical advice and suggesting things I can do, which is exactly what I like. Highly recommend.
Angel is a really wonderful therapist. She fulfils all of the things expected from a therapist, such as not passing judgement and providing a safe space etc.. We can also crack a joke and share a smile in between the serious work that is being done. Where she really shines is providing tools and materials to support you beyond the sessions, which makes me feel like she really wants to solve the problems rather than continue therapy for the sake of good business or any other reason. I leave each session with a game-plan and a clear path until the next session. Highly recommended.
Angel is very kind and a great listener. Very respectful and understanding. I will definitely continue to work with her.
Angel is amazing , if you are a parent struggling , she offers amazing guidance !
Angel has been a very receptive and responsive individual. She reads my entry’s and actively listens to me issues! I would absolutely recommend Angel to prospective therapy attendees!
Angel is great. She's easy to talk to, funny, relatable, and she really listens. She asks me questions that I hadn't really considered before to get me thinking, and she lets me awkward joke my way out. I look forward to our next sessions.
Incredibly helpful - would recommend to any/everyone!
I thought therapy wouldn’t work for me considering that there are obvious cultural/religious etc. etc. differences between me and my therapist. My concerns were quickly diminished after the first few minutes of my first session with Angel. Thankfully we’ve only ever had constructive conversations and she helps keep my head on my shoulders. Couldn’t be happier with the decision to pursue therapy and be blessed with an Angel (no pun intended) lol.
Angel has been really supportive. I would definitely recommend her.
Very kind and understanding person. She is willing to find every way to help things better.
