Angela Wyne

(LPC, LMHC)

About Me

Hi, my name is Angela Wyne and I am a licensed therapist in the states of Alaska (LPC) and Massachusetts (LMHC). I earned my degree in Worcester, MA and have been practicing therapy for the past 11 years in a variety of settings. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and families in a detention treatment center, community centers, outpatient clinics, and in a crisis stabilization program.

My therapy style looks to provide a warm and compassionate space that is safe and free of judgment. Working through change and finding the path towards happiness and wellness is both difficult and unique to the individual. My approach is eclectic and tailored towards your individual needs. I have experience in helping individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, poor sleep, and other difficult life situations.

My hope is to support you in learning how to take a deeper look at thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are getting in the way of you reaching your goals. I draw on elements of several different counseling styles including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing. We move at a pace that is supportive and comfortable to you, and I maintain a strength-based approach that is meant to build confidence and resilience. I approach my clients as a whole person, which means that we take into consideration all things that make you who you are: your biology, connections with family and friends, culture, thoughts, behaviors, feelings, and spiritual/religious beliefs.

You have been motivated to take the first step in asking for help and that takes courage. I would be honored to be part of this journey with you. I look forward to working with you as you find your inner strength and to support you in making meaningful change in your life.

Angela has helped me more than I can describe. She is kind, listens to my needs (I told her that I get uncomfortable with silences in conversation), and she has never failed to fill those. She definitely can read me in that way. She’s my saving grace

Only after a few weeks, I already feel like she understands the majority of the issues I’m facing and can both affirm my feelings as well and offer solutions/steps to take to better my situation.

Angela is an insightful, experienced, and most of all caring person. She is either a great match for me or very adept at adjusting her style to meet the needs of her clients. She has been an extreme help during some difficult period for me.
