About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working as a social service provider. I have worked with clients and families with a wide range of circumstances including foster care placement, substance abuse challenges, survivors of domestic violence, formally incarcerated young adults, and homelessness. I have met a number of individuals who I have been able to support while they experienced strong feelings and challenges as they relate to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and many other challenges. I also supported many individuals and families who have experienced different forms of trauma.

My counseling style is one of which comes from a strength-based approach to support you remember and identify the super star that is inside of you. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines client centered therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy and cognitive therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek support and my goal is to provide support to whomever is seeking to be the healthiest and happiest version of their self.

I look forward to working with you!

Angelina was great! I felt very comfortable talking with her,

I had counseling sessions with Angelina Kone for 4 months and found them to be incredibly helpful! She is such a kind person, who emphasized with all of my issues, as well as the life situations that I have found myself in. She was always encouraging, understanding and just really nice. She always made me feel like I didn't need to be embarrassed about the things that I had initially felt embarrassed about...
She helped me a lot with recognizing that it is okay and even necessary to establish healthy boundaries with the people in my life, and that it is not acceptable for people to repeatedly disrespect them.
She helped me gain confidence in myself and recognize that I don't always need to please others. AS an LGBT person as well as in general, I always felt accepted and respected; it was truly great therapy to have.

So far I have had my first session with her. I really like her approach to things, I hope to explore more types of therapy with her as we discuss hurdles I would like to overcome. Thank you Angelina.

You have been very very helpful. At a time where I’m at my lowest you are here for me and that’s awesome. Couldn’t ask for anyone better! Thoughtful and good responding time. Thank you so much
