Hello. My name is Angelique Colemere and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have over 23 years of experience working as a therapist in various settings from community mental health, hospital social work and private practice. I started graduate school at Loyola University Chicago in 1994 but due to a need to relocate back to Utah I continued my Master's program at the University of Utah where I earned my degree in 1996. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, oncology/chronic health, career challenges, sexual orientation, gender identity, grief/loss, women's issues and trauma.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I am engaged, respectful, collaborative, and compassionate--informed by socio-cultural lenses. I have worked with various populations including LGBTQ, survivors of trauma, oncology and in a medical setting with a focus on supporting healthcare workers. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, trauma informed and client centered therapies which allows me to tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I know it takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I can help you process the unexpected, regain control of yourself, move forward to create life-altering changes and establish a reality that is perhaps better than you are able to visualize right now. I will work with you to navigate life transitions, improve your relationships, or heal from trauma. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. Let's do this.

Angelique Colemere has been outstanding. She's helped me get through a lot of issues. She's held me accountable in a good thoughtful manner throughout the process. Sometimes it's hard to tell therapists the truth about your mess ups because you fear to be judged but I don't feel this way with Angelique. She listens, asks engaging questions, and allows yourself to realize what's most important. At the end of the day, no matter who you see as a therapist we have to decide for ourselves to change, and she's allowed me to gain more clarity in that regard. Not to mention, she's someone who I know I can trust and has a kind heart! Thanks Angelique! Looking forward to continuing our online visits. Go Bears!
I have taken several of her suggestion into my everyday life the past month or so. Angelique has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and guided me through some tough spots. I'm incredibly grateful, especially during this time. Where we are all going through our trials.
