Hi! My name is Anita Pardo and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in NC since 1996. I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA) in 1992. Most of my experience has been in the medical and Psychiatric settings, working with issues such as depression, anxiety, Panic Attacks, trauma, Bipolar Disorder, grief and chronic pain with techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered, Psychodynamic, EMDR and Brainspotting.
I try my best to see things from the client's perspective, offering a supportive setting to explore all possible options for healing, peace and freedom. Therapy is like working a jigsaw puzzle. The patient brings the pieces and we sort the pieces, find their place. Sometimes lots of pieces fall into place quickly and other times it may take a while to find how one small piece works. The point is not having to do it alone. As a Therapist with years of experience, I have lots of techniques that help the person explore solutions.
I have worked night shift for years and am the perfect person to address the special needs of that lifestyle. I accommodate my hours to offer availability for times that are helpful to your needs.
Congratulations on making this step and I look forward to working with you.

She is a wonderful Christian lady who takes the time to listen to what my concerns are without judgment or blame. She allows me plenty of time to talk through my concerns as well as demonstrating practical ways to deal with anxiety and depression. She will offer ways to meditate and take care of yourself in times of stress. She is just an extremely wonderful person and I would recommend for anyone to make an appointment with her! May God bless you always!

Anita is a treasure. She’s soft and gentle when I need soft and gentle. She’s firm (in a lovely way) when I need firmness. I can’t think of a better ally for my mental health journey.

Anita is very skilled in seeing the big picture when I was trapped in the mess in the middle. She listens and hears everything is able to see connections and patterns that have given me severe "ah ha!" Moments of epiphany.
Highly recommended

It was almost a year or two I was feeling depressed. During this pandemic everything started to get worse and I did not even know what I had to do.
Betterhelp chose my therapist randomly but I'm more than happy to meet with Anita. She will not be a therapist but a friend of yours who can listen to you patiently which will help you to speak as if you know her for ages.
I cannot find exact words to describe her impact on me. I think after you explain yourself, she knows what you exactly need and start to approach you in this way.
Thank you, Anita and thank you, betterhelp team❤️

I went through three others, they didn't seem to fit at all. I was about to give up on BetterHelp till I was able to chose Anita. Since the first contact we clicked. She listens and considers what my experiences are with past therapist and treatment and works with what I'm currently being treated with. She is absolutely amazing and honestly have recommended her and BetterHelp to other people because it has been so good.
