I have been a social worker for almost 30 years. I have worked in a variety of settings and worked with a range of populations. In the last decade I have worked with older adults and adults with disabilities. Previously I worked with children and their families, and adults with mental health issues. I have engaged with these clients in clinical settings, the court system, psychiatric day treatment, and protective services.
As a therapist I am an active and empathic listener, and provide a supportive environment. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, loss, anger issues, caregiving issues, and substance abuse problems. Psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing are the theoretical foundations that guide my work with clients. I believe the relationship between client and therapist can provide the foundation to explore your issues and understand yourself better, and provide the catalyst to make the changes you want to make in your life.

Ann is a great therapist. She always puts her personal opinions aside and really listens to her patience. I am tremendously grateful I was able to have her as a therapist!
