About me

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 14 years of experience connecting with clients and walking with them through their journey of triumphs and challenges I have found that the connection between counselor and client is paramount. I strive to meet my clients where they are, focusing on their strengths and empowering them to make the changes they see fit rather than prescribing issue or diagnosis. I value treating each individual client with the respect they deserve. Placing emphasis on developing a relationship with my clients that is based on warmth, trust, respect, and genuine care and concern. The ease of conversation is client driven, casual and conversational.

Many people seek out therapy because, despite their best efforts to change, they might end up in the same cycles...cycles of anxiety, depression, parenting issues, relationship struggles, isolation, procrastination, workaholism...the list goes on and on. People often wonder "why can't I just *change*?" These cycles of behavior are driven by our life experiences and sense of ourself and others. Together, we will explore these ideas so that we can begin to create understanding of our motivations and create space for newer positive behaviors creating an environment of peace, joy, contentment, health, and fulfillment.

I specialize in working with people struggling with anxiety/depression, adoption, attachment, grief/loss, couples struggling with infertility, parenting issues, or other challenges. I have experience with individuals experiencing life transitions, couples experiencing communication difficulties and families struggling to foster better communication, boundaries, and relationships.

From her questions for me during our sessions it became clear right away that she was a very good and discerning listener. I was going through a very difficult patch and she helped me gain greater insight into aspects of what was troubling me and tools for how to assess what next courses of action might work for me. Felt listened to and understood with no judgment; highly recommend her.
