Anne Heminway, LCSW
About me
I approach my work holistically, considering the interaction of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual forces in the mental health and development of individuals. I have worked as a social worker in a variety of settings including hospitals, assisted living facilities, group homes, mental health agencies, public schools, homeless shelters, and private practice. My professional experience has included working with individuals suffering from catastrophic illness, traumatic events, behavior disorders, adjustment to a major change in life circumstances, and prolonged and severe mental illnesses. My approach to therapy is eclectic, depending upon the needs of the individual and I draw on cognitive behavioral, strength-based, solution focused, and mindfulness approaches to help clients feel more content, healthy, and productive. Sessions are kind and supportive.
