About me

Dr. McDaniel is a Licensed Professional and National Certified Counselor. She holds a masters degree in Professional Counseling and Forensic Psychology and a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. McDaniel works with teenagers, adults, couples and families using an integrative approach to therapy. She draws on theoretical approaches of Christian counseling, cognitive-behavior therapy, family systems therapy, client-centered and solution focused perspectives. She also enjoys life coaching and psychoeducation. In addition to the therapy sessions, Dr. McDaniel provides forensic evaluations and reports for individuals.
Dr. McDaniel offers sessions that are designed to help individuals explore emotions, feelings, and behaviors in order to make better choices, learn coping skills, improve interpersonal and relationship skills, determine negative thought patterns and work toward making healthy, positive life changes. Her goal is to treat each individual person with dignity and respect and provide quality service in a supportive, accessible, and highly confidential manner.
Dr. McDaniel enjoys building therapeutic relationships with people that lead to positive changes in their lives. She has worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, divorce recovery, stress, grief, work conflict, relationship/marital conflict and other life transitions that create suffering in a person’s life.
Dr. McDaniel believes that each session should be tailored around each person’s own journey to healing and her goal is to serve as a facilitator that makes the journey easier. She enjoys the creative approach to therapy that empowers her clients to wholeness and fulfillment.
