You’ve probably come looking for help because things have been too uncomfortable for awhile. Life has not felt quite right. Enough so that you’re finally looking for a change. And looking for someone that will help you on your journey is intimidating, for sure!
My name is Anthony Shannon and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I received an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and a graduate degree from Bellevue University. I have a background in trauma work with children, adolescents, and adults. While my main focus has been on trauma, I have a wide variety of experience helping to guide others through the struggles we go through in life. My approach to therapy is gentle and sometimes humorous, but always based on a safe and therapeutic relationship.
I am trained in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential therapy, and expressive arts therapy. No matter what, therapy should be tailored to fit your needs, your goals, and your strengths.
I can offer you a safe and empathic space to shine a light into dark corners and begin fortifying the strengths you already have. Therapy can feel vulnerable, and you deserve a place where feeling vulnerable is okay.

Anthony is a great therapist and a great help. He listens and always helps to see through the rain to the rainbow. He's very understanding and helpful. Uplifting and there are days when I am certain I would have been lost without him.

He’s amazing. I rave about him all the time. He just gets me, and he gets it. He’s helped me through some really hard times and that is not fluff- he comes across so genuine. Even if I take a break, I let him know I’ll be back!

Anthony is without exaggeration, the sole reason for my being alive today. I felt hopeless and unheard and he somehow pulled me back from the dead and has helped me start to understand myself. I will always wish I could afford to pay him more because I’m damn sure I’m not paying him enough.

I'm very appreciative of Anthony's expertise and guidance. I feel like I can be vulnerable and open with him and that his guidance remains neutral and balanced -- something that I TRULY need.
