I received my Associate’s degree in Early Child Development, my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health, and I am licensed through NYS. I take a Person-Centered approach to my work. The clients I work with are important, their needs and values are a focus of my work. Each client is an individual and should be treated as such. In my work I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness skills as well as other modalities to provide individualized therapy for my clients.
I look forward to getting to know you, and helping you through any struggles or difficulties you may be experiencing. I understand that it can be difficult to speak with someone that you don’t know. We will take the time to get to know one another and will work together.
Thank you again for your time!

April is great. This is my first time with a counselor and I feel like I was able to work through a lot of issues that I've held onto for years. April has also taught me a lot about myself and has taught me coping mechanisms to deal with my anxiety and depression. I highly recommend working with April.
I love having April as my counselor so far. I stopped seeing my previous therapist because I just wasn't getting what I needed and April has been such a refreshing change. I'm excited to continue working with her!
I was getting better and learning the importance of self-care through working with April
I feel like I can talk to her and she understands me
April is a great therapist. She’s very caring towards helping others and does a good job at it.
She’s Wonderful ! Love her usage of imagery
April is so understanding and has clear knowledge of mental health
April is great!! I have tried therapy for years and never felt a connection with my therapist. With April I feel like I am heard and actually look forward to my therapy sessions.
April is very easy to talk to, is a good listener and helps me organize my feelings in a logical manner. Will recommend her to anyone.
