About me

Hi there! My name is Ariel Rendt Padron and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from Colorado who is here to help you with whatever it is that has led you to this moment of seeking out support, which I know can be a challenging step to take. I would love to help you get through whatever challenges or experiences you are facing with more ease and security.

I received my Master's of Social Work from the University of Denver, and since that time have been providing mental health services to people in my community. I have worked with a variety of ages, including geriatric and toddler clients. I have worked in community mental health, schools, adoption agencies, and in a legal setting. Most of my experience has been related to trauma (PTSD), depression, or anxiety, though I have also served clients who struggle with persistent mental health concerns (like Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, etc.), eating disorders, relationship struggles (especially rebuilding trust), parenting/family support, and self-esteem issues. My approach to every individual I meet is that they are more than just a diagnosis, and the purpose of a diagnosis is to aid me in determining where to start in helping a person discover their full potential, rather than defining who a person is. I would describe myself as an open-minded therapist, meaning I do not get easily offended and I am open to meeting a client in their own frame of reference (I am not stuck on conventional ways of thinking). I enjoy the therapeutic process and working with and for my clients to help them achieve their goals, or discovering their goals which sometimes can seem elusive.

To help you learn a little about me and my approaches, I tend to work from a strengths-based perspective which means I focus on the things you do well and help you use those to achieve your goals and get through challenges. This means that we will focus on discussing things you already do in order to help yourself get through this new transition period in your life. I also utilize mindfulness techniques, which can help people who struggle with anxiety or depression to stay present in the moment and not get overwhelmed by big feelings. I try to be as client-centered as possible (which means meeting you where you are at and not having too many expectations of what you are or are not ready for). I look forward to talking with you in more detail and getting to know you better. Please know you can reach out if you need clarification, have questions, or just want to talk. I’m here. I can work from a specific schedule, or I can be flexible if that is something easier for you to manage, just let me know whether you prefer a more structured approach or more flexibility. Looking forward to working with, and for, you!

Ariel is very kind and comforting to talk to. She has my best interests at heart and puts a lot of effort into learning about me. When needed, she spends the extra time above and beyond to support me. I'm looking forward to my continued therapy with her.

I have participated and various types of therapy off and on since I was a teenager, never really finding much help or improvement. In the 3 months I have been working with Ariel inhale gained so much insight into myself and have been guided by her to create the foundation for my healing. She has been kind, insightful and supportive as in begin to wade through a lifetime of baggage. Her professional integrity and knowledge of trauma treatment is impressive and I feel beyond grateful to have been paired with her. I truly cannot speak highly enough of her or of my appreciation for helping to save me.

I started working with Ariel after admittedly being jaded by repeatedly awful experiences with therapists in the past. She has been the best therapist I’ve had, by far. Ariel is a great listener. She allows me to move at my own pace and process thoughts fully. She helped me uncover trauma that I didn’t know I had experienced, identify and challenge thought patterns that were keeping me stuck, and gave me homework that I actually wanted to do. She’s the first therapist I’ve been able to trust. I would absolutely recommend Ariel, especially to anyone dealing with trauma and/or depression.

Ariel is an excellent listener; she quickly 'got' me and I trusted that she had a good understanding of who I am after just a couple of sessions. This is not always the case when looking for a new therapist and I felt incredibly lucky. I worked with her for a few months to discuss some family stressors and I now feel much more prepared to navigate some of my more challenging relationships. I wouldn't hesitate to work with her again, she's great!
