Hello! I am glad you took the first step to seek support in this journey called life. My name is Arley Chisolm and I am a licensed counselor here to help you navigate through this journey. Counseling can be rewarding and challenging but it is worth it in the end. Let me tell you a little about me.
I am a graduate of Webster University with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2007 and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from University of South Carolina in 2005. I have over ten years of experience in mental health counseling. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in working with individuals with depression and anxiety. I have worked in various arenas of behavioral health and mental health including community based services, individual counseling, family counseling, groups, and couples counseling. I have provided trainings in behavioral issues with children and learning how to develop healthy parent child relationships.
I have always had a passion for helping others. My philosophy is it takes a team effort to generate change. I will work with you collaboratively to develop goals in treatment to support your journey in improving your life and exploring new ways to manage conflict. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, motivational interviewing and client centered therapy. I believe that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected. I will teach you how to challenge your old way of thinking to see situations in a better or alternative perspective. Let me be your guide to navigating to your destination using a roadmap for guidance. My motto is “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”

Arley is amazing. She’s down to earth and honest. A great listener and someone that made me feel comfortable. She has sound advice and communicates in a way that is easy to understand. Very easy to talk to.
Arley is attentive, thoughtful and insightful. From our very first session she was helpful and got me thinking in a solution oriented manner. I would highly recommend her!
Arley was a compassionately objective listener and helped me see possibilities I wouldn't have considered.
I’ve had a tough time last year and early this year and Arley has helped me look at problems objectively and develop boundaries. She’s a great listener and encourages me to look at my accomplishments when I’m not present to them which has helped me regain confidence. I highly recommend Arley.
So far she’s been incredibly respectable of my anxiety and listens to all of my thoughts. I love how she asks questions that I didn’t even think about (habits, thoughts, connecting dots). I have full confidence in her and know she’s going to help me.
Arley has been a great help to me. She does a great job of listening to my thoughts and helping me see patterns in how I'm thinking in harmful ways. She also focuses on helping me to come up with techniques that I can employ to gradually improve my mental health and thought processes that I can use to redirect my mental state when it starts worsening. This approach has been very useful in my improvement so far.
Great listener and reflector, only met a couple times but well worth it! She comes off very sincere, leveled energy, and I appreciated her insights and ideas for problem solving. Thanks Arley!
I am still a work in progress but have come a very long way since my counseling sessions with Arley on Better Help and I’m so glad this resource is available to people especially now with everything going on today in the world. My concern with seeking counseling was always how I could afford it and with Better Help I don’t have that worry and added stress.
