About me

Are you and your partner struggling to communicate effectively? Do you find yourself wishing you could go back to the way things used to be? Are you finding it hard to get through the day without feeling overwhelmed? Life happens. Sometimes it's hard, and stress can build up over time making it difficult to navigate alone. As humans, we tend to get ourselves into patterns that function for us. Most of those patterns are good, but sometimes they could be harmful, and you can get stuck.

One thing I can offer is an outsider's perspective. I'm not in your situation, so it is easier for me to be objective and give suggestions that will help dislodge you from your stuck pattern. I have been in practice for over 7 years. I always approach my clients from a one-down position, which means my clients are the experts of their lives. Upon our first meeting, I will strive to learn as much about you as possible in order to better understand the situation you are in currently. I will offer insight and comments on your pattern, and you will determine what will work best for you. I am ABD (all but dissertation) for my Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and view problems from a systemic perspective, meaning everything is interconnected and there for a purpose. I tend to not gravitate towards one particular model of therapy; however, I draw from various models including Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Strategic Therapy, Structural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Resource Focused Therapy. I am very creative and do not like to conform our sessions into something that will place a box around it. I want it to go where it needs to go for you to get what you need.

Remember, no one is a magician. No one can "fix" your situation. It will take time and hard work on your part to make the changes you want you want to see made. If you're willing to put in the work, I'm willing to walk along side you and work as well!

I look forward to working with you!

She is great! Easy to talk to and seems to understand what is going on and can relate.
