About Me

Life can be challenging, and there are times we need someone to help us work through those challenges. I take great fulfillment in being that someone. A licensed clinical social worker with 8 years providing counseling and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children, I help my clients tackle their obstacles, gain greater insight, and cultivate more joy. As your therapist, my top priority is providing you with a non-judgmental relationship in which you can experience and express your feelings.

Clients come to me for a variety of reasons, but I specialize in depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma/PTSD, major life transitions, and relationship problems. I work hard to see the world through your eyes so that I can help you strengthen your voice and find coping skills that are uniquely yours. With an eclectic approach, I provide counseling that is grounded in relational and interpersonal theory, and I integrate behavioral and mindfulness techniques to help you feel better faster.

With a background in theater, I take a particular interest in working with artists. I also have experience in business and can understand the unique demands of the ever-increasing virtual connectivity required in those positions. My family also includes several educators, which has given me a deep respect for teachers.

Ashley has been very welcoming since the first session. I can already see progress from talking with her. I look forward to having more sessions with her soon.

Ashley is an amazing and very professional counselor. I have been working with her for less than two weeks and things in my life are already moving in a good and promising direction. She comes up with good questions that make me think a lot about myself and my behavior. Slowly we are digging deeper and deeper and her counseling is a good mix of practical tips on what to do to have immediate relief and more conceptual things and analysis. Ashley does not judge and is very understanding, at the same time she always remains professional. At the beginning we decided on how to communicate, which is very good for me, since I am a bit afraid of live sessions. She does not struggle with my (not so good) English. Having her as a counselor has helped me already very much.

My first 2 sessions were very rewarding, Ashley asks the right questions and I get to think differently about my issues. She's supportive and caring without excessive pressure!
