Ashley Brewer

About Me

I have a passion to help individuals who have experienced trauma of human trafficking victimization to help them heal through surviving & eventually thriving in a meaningful life they desire to maintain. I offer a safe space to heal & not be judged while building self worth & work through other areas of trauma endured & been exposed to. I am huge on recognizing a person's strengths & empowering others, which gets incorporated into my practice. This specific passion expands to other types of trauma, ADHD, families, couples, anxiety, depression, etc. I enjoy helping those who have been misunderstood & offer emotional validation.

I tend towards using integrative modalities & approaches that fit each of my clients in order for them to have individualized healing attended to. The main ones I utilize consist of focusing on strengths, being present with the client, and meeting the client where he/she is at in their therapeutic journey. Some of these examples are inclusive of Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (MCBT), Imago Relationship Therapy, etc.

The built therapeutic rapport is an essential part of the client’s journey towards living a meaningful & positive life that brings trust & growth through a safe space to do so. A main aspect of this coming together is my focus on each client’s strengths, genuine care, emotional validation, non-judgment, passion to help, dedication, & mutual respect.

For my first time with counseling, I find Ashley to be very helpful. Really listens to me and let's me vent . Still a new experience but one that I will continue for awhile.

Ashley is beyond wonderful. She’s an excellent listener and gives it to you straight. I love her straight forward approach with our sessions. She does such a great job with balancing validity for my feelings and experiences while also challenging them to offer a great perspective for me. I can’t praise her enough

Ashley is easy to talk to. She helps me identify issues, process them, and make a plan to address them.
