About Me

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. It takes an incredible amount of bravery and courage to seek help. Please know, you don't have to do this alone. I am here to walk with you through this tough season of life.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington, with seven years of counseling experience. I received my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I have provided mental health treatment in a variety of settings, including online, private practice, school, and community mental health. I have worked with my clients around various concerns, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, life changes, grief and loss, relationship issues, career challenges, and women's issues. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm, interactive, and judgement free. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and placing labels on others is not helpful. I believe YOU are the expert on YOU. My job is to help you feel heard, validated, encouraged, and understood through this time of hardship. I work to create a safe space for you, where you can say whatever is on your heart. My approach combines narrative, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and humanistic counseling. I will collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that meets your specific needs.

It would be an honor to hear your story, and be granted the privilege to work with you. This is the first step to feeling happier and living a more fulfilled life. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to meeting you!

I've really appreciated having Ashley to talk to. She's wonderful... very supportive and friendly and easy to talk to about the stuff I'm going through. She's given me very useful suggestions and I always come away from our sessions feeling optimistic.

Ashley really listens to what I have to say and provides constructive feedback versus just agreeing with me or not. She’s very calming to talk to and I appreciate her perspective on a lot of my issues. I feel like she really understands where I’m coming from.

Ashley is kind and supportive, and gives me plenty of runway to express myself. I especially appreciate her patience as I had a hard time piecing my words together at first and a number of connectivity issues. She gives actionable homework for which is just what I want and need.

Ashley has been so helpful in the few weeks that I've been working with her. She is professional, caring, compassionate, and she truly hears what I'm saying. She has offered me very practical tools to help me with some newly developed anxieties and depression. I feel I am stronger and more resilient due to Ashley's help as my counselor.
