Hi there! My name is Ashley. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and National Certified Counselor in Dallas, Texas with over 12 years of experience. I am passionate about providing trauma-informed, culturally competent mental health care to clients of all identities. I specialize in treating addiction, trauma, PTSD/cPTSD, first responder trauma, and dissociative disorders. Often, my clients have tried therapy before, but they haven’t reached their mental health goals and would like to continue to work with a therapist. They feel stuck in their symptoms, which hold them back from enjoying comfort in their daily lives. These symptoms could include panic attacks, dissociative episodes, feeling disconnected from others, or waves of sadness, all of which can lead to unhealthy self-medication.
Combined with in-depth personal experience, I practice an evidence-based therapy modality called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This therapy modality helps the brain process through painful memories and place those memories in the past. This opens up the client’s mind to feeling more in the present moment. EMDR can be used successfully with a variety of issues and concerns. I also utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients grow their coping skills. This could include deep breathing, distractions, and perspective-taking in moments of distress. Clients learn how to be more mindful in their minds and bodies. This mindfulness can be a helpful grounder and keep them from reliving difficult memories or dwelling on their symptoms. I am also trained in a number of other modalities including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Based Therapy, Polyvagal therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindful Self-Compassion Therapy.
I earned a Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling from an accredited program at Grand Canyon University. I have been trained in EMDR by an EMDRIA accredited trainer, and am working toward certification. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, EMDR International Association, International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, and Texas Counseling Association.
I strive to be an empathetic, kind therapist who makes every client feel welcome and respected. I want my clients to feel present and engaged in their lives once more. I believe our minds and bodies are capable of healing and growth with the right environment, tools and support.
I am so happy you have taken this first step! Take the next step and schedule a session with me. I look forward to meeting you!

Everything has been great so far
She is the best therapist I have ever had. She listens and empathizes and never judges me. She always knows the right thing to say and helps guide me through my feelings
I’ve only had one session, but she was fabulous. She listened to my concerns, lead the conversation properly, and provided tools to help me. I highly recommend Dr. Klein.
Ashley is awesome. She addresses all my issues
Searching for a therapist is hard. When I found Ashley, I thought "whew...finally!!", Ashley is a great listener, enjoyable to talk to and very knowledgeable. She has introduced me to many great techniques and theories that have opened my eyes to a clearer path to healing from childhood trauma, recognize my patterns as an adult, and be more present.
Ashley has been a FORCE in my life. Not only has she helped me heal some very old wounds, but she’s given me perspective on life events I’ve never thought of before. I highly recommend her and Better Help to anyone!
I have struggled with therapy for a long time. Never finding the person I can trust, who listens to me, and gives me real advice but in a manner that I can put to use. She gives me the skills to handle what is going on but also to work towards healing. I have struggled for many years and for once I feel I am moving in the right direction. Thank You Ashley for helping me be okay. That is the biggest blessing I have ever received.
I find Ashley to be a wonderful conversationalist with willfully acute listening skills. I find her demeanor and intellect to be very comforting and non-judgemental allowing me to circumvent sociological defenses very quickly and get raw and honest.
Appreciate her help
