About Me

In a growing individualistic society, empathetic relationships and bonds have become an exception rather than remaining the norm. The need to feel supported and be genuinely heard/understood is what I believe many individuals seek. Counseling allows me to be an active source of therapeutic support in clients’ lives.

Interests in psychodynamic theory and implementation of integrative interventions allow me the use of empathetic listening, effective communication, and unconditional acceptance amongst other skills for clients either within the adult population, or the commonly misunderstood adolescent population. Well rounded first-hand experience working in substance abuse treatment, inpatient care, and private practice has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and tools to meet my clients where they are at and help guide them in the direction they aspire.

Hello, I’m Ashley, a licensed mental health counselor. I look forward to getting to know you and developing a therapeutic bond that we can use towards your success and satisfaction.

Very lucky to have had Ashley help me move through a period of transition. She is doing exactly what she's supposed to do.

Ashley Mehu is walking in her purpose. She was obviously called to counsel and support others. I am beyond thankful to have been able to be led to her. She is helping me so very much in my journey.
