Hi, my name is Ashley and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. I have experience working with individuals and families in a variety of settings including residential treatment, community care, and personal care.
I am originally from Houston, Texas but called Chicago home for 17 years. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts and my masters degree in counseling from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago.
I believe life is a journey and our experiences are opportunities to connect with our deeper truth. I have always enjoyed exploring the complexities of this journey with others in both personal and professional settings. I have experience working with individuals in various life stages from young childhood through end of life and have found that healing is possible at all stages. Our relationship with ourselves and the world around us is constantly evolving, creating tension that presents itself through a variety of symptoms including hopelessness, loss of focus, physical pain, anxiety, numbness, and more. I work with individuals to explore these symptoms helping to unravel limiting beliefs and destructive patterns in their lives. My approach is trauma informed with an expansive definition and understanding of trauma and how it impacts the individual.
I am committed to my own healing and exploration of various healing modalities. I have experience with Reiki, EFT, yoga, meditation, breathwork, and I am currently exploring nature based practices.
