About me

Hello there, my name is Ashley Mitchell. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia. I have seven years post master’s experience working with adults with a verity of concerns ranging from relationships with others, self esteem, and developing useful coping skills. I have experience working in a variety of setting including community based mental health services.

I believe that part of the therapeutic experience is providing a safe space for individuals to practice new skills including developing assertive communication skills. Our sessions are an opportunity to explore your feelings and create useful plans to move toward your goals.

It takes courage to take the first step toward becoming the best version of ourselves. Let me be the first to say welcome to the journey. I would be honored to be part of your support network. I look forward to meeting you.

I’ve really enjoyed working with Ashley over my last two sessions. She is able to ask the hard questions in a way that feels I pressured and safe. She’s quickly helped me identify areas where I can improve and I feel supported as we start to look at coping techniques. Thank you!
