About me

Hello!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, and a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I've been working in the therapy field since 2013. I completed my masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Art Therapy at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA.

I have training and experience in various theoretical approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), collaborative problem solving (CPS), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Focused Therapy, and Existential Therapy. I have worked with adults, seniors, and LGBTQ community. I have had the privilege of working with a variety of dynamics; including individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and sibling therapy.

Some of the diagnosis and mental health issues I have worked with include: post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, impulse-control, conduct disorders, reactive attachment disorder, family system difficulty, domestic violence, borderline personality disorders, self-harm, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and grief and loss.

My goal as a therapist is to provide an authentic experience in a safe environment, where one can explore their feelings, foster self-awareness, and increase self-esteem. Through this, emotional well-being, health, and healing can occur. I am here for you and thank you for trusting me. I look forward to working with you!

Ashley is a wonderful counselor. She listens to my desires and needs when it comes to the counseling process and is skilled and creative with giving me activities, tools, and resources that are helpful in my process. She is supportive, caring, nonjudgmental, and human.

I'm always blown away by her knowledge. She has new directives to try all the time that really work for me, and helps me reframe my thoughts in ways that connect with how I'm feeling but help me look at things differently. She validates my feelings often and helps remind me to love and appreciate myself. No complaints at all!
