About me

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) and licensed clinical addiction specialist (LCAS) in the state of North Carolina. I graduated with my MA in counseling in 2016 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I also completed and maintain my clinical trauma professional certification (CCTP) and my status as a 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT-200).

Over my years of clinical experience I have successfully worked with many presenting issues including: depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment, self-esteem and addiction. My approach to therapy draws from a foundation of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and supportive techniques. I apply various treatment modalities to create a unique therapy experience to meet the needs of each person's individual circumstances. I embraces a holistic approach to therapy which helps people resolve underlying issues, integrate self-care and mindfulness techniques, and learn healthier coping skills.

With years of experience in working for addiction treatment programs, I have a passion for working with those who struggle with addiction, as well as their loved ones. Another passion area of mine is working with military and their family members. Currently, I work full-time providing counseling for service members and their families. I have been trained through the Center for Deployment Psychology in CBT for Depression (CBT-D) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
