Ashley Pimentel

About Me

Hi! My name is Ashley Pimentel and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of MA with over 15 years of experience. I have experience working with clients with a wide-range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma.

I currently work at an acute inpatient hospital using a brief, solution-focused approach. My ongoing caseload consists of working with clients who are experiencing homelessness, substance use, and acute mental health crises. I also work with clients and families/caregivers around the sensitive subject of end-of-life and hospice. Additionally, I have 10 years of experience working in an urban law enforcement agency. My primary role as a Mental Health Clinician was to provide ongoing mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and debriefing.

As it pertains to this platform, I find most success in using a client-centered approach and cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that establishing a strong therapeutic relationship between clients and therapists is one of the key elements in traditional talk therapy. I am very empathetic and provide a welcoming approach. I also like to use a solution-focused approach when working with clients who wish to target a specific area of concern. I believe it is important to establish measurable, short-term goals, from the first session. We will review each goal and measure progress periodically. Through the use of psychoeducation, worksheets, messaging, and live sessions, it is my goal to assist you in improving your quality of life.

I am currently able to provide 30 or 45-minute sessions on Tuesdays or Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please let me know which day and time would work best for you ASAP to ensure I have the space available. I usually respond to messages within 24 hours. Currently, I am only accepting members who live in Massachusetts.

Thank you for reviewing my profile and I hope to work with you soon!

I am writing to you regarding Ashley Pimentel, who was my therapist throughout my time with Betterhelp this past year.

I was fortunate enough to be paired with and worked with Ashley. Her work is second to none. She was instrumental in helping me through one of my most stressful and confusing periods of my life. We were able to quickly establish a strong patient-doctor relationship and she identified the best way to work with me at the very beginning of my journey.
Regardless of the situations she's walking into, Ashley keeps a level head and produces a ton of value in my life. I could tell from our weekly sessions that she is a smart, organized and driven therapist. She focused on providing the best service and methods to me by partnering with me to implement creative, tailored methods.
Even now, I have ended my therapy; I still use the methods she taught me during those sessions in my day-to-day. On another note, she is a joy to work with!

Ashley is a great counselor. She really listens and processes what you say, and always has a great response. She also seems to have a lot of expertise and was able to help on a number of different areas. At times I wish she pushed me harder, but ultimately I think she was just going at a pace that was comfortable for me and resulted in a trusting relationship between us. Thank you Ashley.

Ashley, is a good listener when it comes to letting something vent and express their day to day struggles. She works with you to incorporate a plan that best fit your lifestyle and goals. She genuinely care for her client and doesn’t view sessions as a money machine, rather a way to help the individuals on the other side.

I've had a lot of therapists and Ashley is the best I've ever talked to. She's kind, helpful, and makes me feel very comfortable. Ashley listens to my problems both big and small and helps me come up with a plan to tackle them. I honestly don't think I would be where I am today without her support.
