About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado with over 9 years of experience working in the field. I’ve worked with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, foster care, a range of socioeconomic levels, families, groups, and those with varying disabilities. I have experience working with those suffering from depression, anxiety, stress, childhood trauma, abuse, crisis, life adjustment, blended families, self-esteem related concerns and relationship issues.

My counseling style is warm and nonjudgmental. I am trained in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Crisis De-escalation, and Eco-Systemic Family Therapy. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including day treatment, outpatient, intensive outpatient, healthcare settings, in clients’ homes and in the community.

I believe in a blend of mind, body and spirit for overall wellbeing. We all face challenges in different ways and on our separate journeys; sometimes we just need someone to validate and believe in us so we are able to clarify our goals and develop the skills we need to make lasting, positive changes. We are all resilient and capable of healing once we’re ready. I hope that together we will be able to find the healing, connection and growth you are seeking through counseling.
You are already stronger than you think; you’ve already started on your journey of change by taking the first step. When you are ready to take the next step - I am here to listen, support, and empower you.

I’m looking forward to working with you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ashley Schorah. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I would absolutely recommend Ashley as any one’s therapist. She understands me so much and I feel so comfortable pouring everything out to her, which I had trouble doing with other therapists I’ve seen elsewhere, though it wasn’t their fault. She made me realize that I have more potential than I think and that I’m actually more successful than I was lead to believe. My well-being is slightly improved after seeing her and I’m now working on myself to become a better person. If you feel alone and have no one else to turn to, Ashley is your therapist.
