About Me

The therapy session is a time and space one sets aside to focus on self. To be with self. And to build one’s self. It can be challenging to reflect on patterns, thoughts and emotions, relationships, past events and/or change, but it can also be transformative and rewarding. My role as your therapist is to witness your process and to reflect back with you along the way. The therapeutic relationship is an essential piece of my practice and is built on honesty, trust, empathy, and compassion.
In conjunction with traditional psychotherapeutic frameworks (CBT, DBT, interpersonal, strength-based, person-centered), I use Expressive Arts Therapy (Movement, Drama, Music/Sound, Art) to help foster a customized creative process. When applied therapeutically, a creative process can help a person heal, open up to change, and may offer new feelings, thoughts, insights, and perspectives.
As a body based psychotherapist I incorporate the moving body as a tool to identify, explore, and shift the way one relates to self, other, and the surrounding environment. I believe engaging in an integrative psychotheropeutic process is a direct and effective path to embodied growth and transformation.

Ashley has helped me tremendously in getting back in touch with myself. You know she really cares and has introduced me to a novel technique that helps me find peace. I know I will learn and advance myself so much because of her wisdom, expertise, and ability to synthesize all sorts of information I throw out (A LOT) and help me find what it is that is concerning me, even when I can’t find the words. She is fantastic!

Ashley is great! She really listens to my concerns and gives me great feedback and answers. She always checks in if I haven’t messaged her back.

Ashley has been wonderfully supportive. She's helped me look at things from a different angle, helped me find ways to deal with past negative experiences and 'what if' moments. She's helped my confidence in dealing with difficult people and situations.

Ashley is such an understanding and perceptive counselor. When she listens to you you really feel heard. She doesn't forget details and always knows how to redirect back to where we need to be focussing. She goes out of her way to be accommodating and understanding to your situation. She is just really patient and meets you where you're at.
