About me

Welcome! My name is Ashley and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri and South Carolina. I am also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I received my Masters in Counseling from Webster University in 2015. I received my Bachelors in Psychology, Sociology, and Human Services from Drury University in 2012. My husband is active duty military and I am a mother of three children so I understand the stressors that life can bring to us.

I have worked with a variety of clients in different settings such as telehealth, in-home, in office, and residential. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children both in individual and group settings. I also have experience working with couples and families. Some of the clinical issues that I have the most experience in include depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, and self-esteem. I also have experience working with ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, adjustment disorder, anger management, family conflicts, relationship conflicts, and bipolar disorder.

My first focus in my treatment is establishing a therapeutic relationship with the person first as this helps facilitate effective counseling and provides the best outcomes. I am compassionate, empathic, supportive, and present with my clients during times of struggle and times of happiness.

I primarily use techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused counseling, and mindfulness. However, I do incorporate more approaches as needed. Together we will work to create treatment goals and steps to help overcome your personal struggle. Learning your personal strengths, coping skills, and having open communication will all help create a positive experience in your counseling process.

I look forward to helping you in any way I can!
