Aubree Lovelace

About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in California. I have been working in mental health for over 10 years. I have worked in a variety of practice settings including outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient and outpatient units, private practice and with those who are or were formerly incarcerated. I have experience with a wide range of clinical issues, which includes, anxiety and stress related issues, depression, , anger and aggression, intellectual/developmental disabilities, trauma and abuse issues, psychotic disorders. Additionally, I’ve worked with relationship issues, career issues and LGBTQ related issues.

My counseling style is client-centered and culturally sensitive. I provide an environment that is non-judgmental, warm and supportive. I tend to be direct and active during sessions. The techniques used during sessions are eclectic in nature. My approach is always determined by the individual client’s needs. I incorporate evidence-based techniques such as mindfulness, solution-focused counseling, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I approach each session recognizing a client’s strengths and helping them on their healing journey.

I strongly believe that everyone needs someone in their life that they can share their troubles and triumphs with. It takes a lot of courage to come to the realization that you could benefit from seeking help. Congratulations on taking the first step and I look forward to travelling with you on your journey.

Aubree's really supportive, flexible, and easy to talk to even if you haven't known her for very long yet. Her perspective/advice is also refreshing and insightful.
