Change is an ongoing stressor in our lives and yet there is no avoiding it. As a therapist, I am passionate about helping others navigate through the changes that various life situations, career shifts, relationships, family difficulties, unforeseen circumstances, or emotions bring about in their lives. Having specialized in working with trauma, depression, and anxiety, I have had the privilege of helping teens, adults, families, and couples cope and heal after a painful event and make sense of the emotions that trauma can bring up within us.
Through experiences in both private practice and community mental health, I have worked with individuals from all walks of life and have a deep appreciation for assisting people in discovering and embracing their individuality and uniqueness. As a psychodynamic therapist, I assist in developing an increased awareness into how our early childhood experiences continue to impact and influence the day-to-day life we lead here and now. Together, using a collaborative and interpersonal approach, I support my clients in taking a look back at their histories in order to construct a future where they are happy, safe, loved, and thriving.
Humans are amazing. When you take a minute to truly look at the biological, social, and emotional complexities that make us who we are as a species, it is humbling to say we are here together in this moment. In my pursuit of making sense of who we are and why we are who we are, I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Sociology and my Master’s degree at Phillips Graduate University (formerly Phillips Graduate Institute) in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy. I am a mother to an energetic toddler, wife to a video game designer, and cat mom.
That you have taken the time to seek therapy is an indicator to me that you are looking to make a change in your life and are hoping to find the right “fit” in a therapist to help you make that change. I want to facilitate your discovery and journey and if you feel that you would like to provide me with the opportunity to walk this path with you, I will supportively walk by your side.

Ms. Ferman is a wonderful counselor. She is available and she’s comfortable. She will sometimes send me questionnaires or links to help me. I feel she understands my struggles and also gives me the space I need for self discovery.
Aubrey is wonderful. She's friendly, welcoming, doesn't make me feel invalid or like she doesn't care. She's very personable and I love her as my counselor.
