About Me

Reaching out to someone for help is hard! The fact that you are seeking help shows a desire to make changes, to learn, to grow. Don't ignore the motivation you are feeling to do something different. I would be honored to help you with your unique journey to a better you. Let me help you cope with life's struggles. I enjoy working with individuals, in particular, females and young adults. Some of the issues I work most effectively with include depression, anxiety, survivors of rape and domestic abuse as well as general life concerns, transitions, stress management and personal growth. My clinical and life experience contribute to my effectiveness in these areas. Our families influence who we become as well as our parenting style. I examine family of origin influences and patterns to help you determine what to keep and what to discard. There is a relationship between thoughts and feelings/moods. I can help restructure your thinking so that you can feel better and be more productive and effective in your life and stop self defeating behaviors that limit you. I am an open, non-judgemental, safe person for you to talk to. Your needs will be approached individually. I believe that psychotherapy should be accessible and affordable which is one of the reasons I am excited to be a part of BetterHelp. I truly look forward to helping you identify and achieve your goals.

Please note that my current modality is asynchronous messaging so if you are interested in primarily message based counseling, we would be a good fit.

Auda is a wonderful counselor! She's excellent at listening and sussing out what your true concerns are, and helping you figure out ways to tackle them, and best of all, she's *very* responsive. I feel confident that if I have something urgent to work out with her, she'll see it and be there for me. I'd definitely recommend her.

Audra listens with compassion and makes me feel safe in sharing my anxieties. She gently challenges me to change the way I think about myself and the world, in ways that increase my sense of agency and self worth. She gave me tangible tools to work with my anxiety, that I know I will use in the future.

Even though I only started working with Audra Lacey recently, I feel like I am relaxed with her. She lets me get my thoughts out without criticizing me.
