About Me

During these trying times it is more important than ever to process our feelings, emotions, fears and worries in a safe and nonjudgmental place. Our mental health does affect our physical health - and we need both as strong as possible to navigate the days ahead. I am here to help.

Greetings. My name is Audrey Gilliatt, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 15 years of clinical experience in providing mental health services in the clinic, hospital and emergency room settings. I am also a trained crisis and support counselor. I obtained my Masters degree in Social Work from Wayne State University and am trained in multiple psychotherapy modalities with an emphasis on CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) - a short term, goal oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands on practical approach to problem solving. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind peoples' difficulties, and so change the way they feel. I offer both weekend and evening hours.

"It's in crisis that the best of us emerges, because without crisis all the winds are but slight breezes." Albert Einstein.

You can do this.

Audrey brought so much to my life in a desperate time of need. She helped me see who I truly am, and I am so grateful that I could have her as my counselor. I highly recommend Audrey to anyone seeking help because you will also gain a great therapist and a reliable friend.

I look forward to talking to Audrey every week. I feel like a little part of me heals and grows. And I like the way she tells me where she sees me growing. And I like how she tells me the next step i need to take, no matter how big or small.

Audrey is a breath of fresh air to talk to. She's down to earth and an expert at using her knowledge and experience to offer up practical solutions for day to day life. She puts my catastrophizing back into perspective. She cheers me on. She listens to what I have to say without judgment.
