About me

My background in mental health counseling spans over 12 years. I am a licensed professional counselor and a doctoral researcher with a strong background in mental health and allopathic medicine. My counseling/psychotherapy expertise includes working with children, adolescents, and adults with various mental health, addictive, coping, and dependency problems. These include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention hyperactivity and deficit disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, gambling, and psychosis. I help clients resolve crisis-related suicidal attempts/ideation, anxiety attacks, emotional trauma, accidents/natural disaster, and financial hardships. I am understanding, compassionate, and experienced in counseling individuals from various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds while maintaining a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
I use various therapy models which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Therapy, Evidence-Based Therapy, Family Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I connect clients with community service and resource agencies that will continue to serve as support systems to the clients.
