About me

I am a marriage and family therapist who has been working in the industry since I graduated in 2013. Before that I worked as a front line staff with at risk youth for more than eight years. During that time I’ve learned how to work with teens, families, individuals, and other organizations towards helping clients find their best and genuine self.

I’m a firm believer that most all of us have the answers that we need to succeed we just sometimes need someone to bounce them off of in order to validate them and sometimes try some new things as well.

Styles of therapy that I typically use and work through are: cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and where possible experiential therapy.

I received my masters in marriage and family therapy from Argosy University in 2013 and in 2015 was a NOJOS certified clinician.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Austin Haacke. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Austin did a wonderful job of walking me through developing a skill set to help me acknowledge, experience and process the emotions of daily living as well as bigger events. He really helped me move toward a more mindful way of navigating the pitfalls and triggers of daily living. We worked on addressing my backlogged emotions and engrained belief patterns. Austin helped me apply concepts in an approachable way with great ‘homework’ for me to work on between sessions, helpful analogies/quotes and a generous amount of humor to help lighten things up when needed. Thank you, Austin!

Austin has given me tremendous healing through the exercises we do together, the way he responds to my issues, and through the tips and tricks he’s equipped me with for my day-to-day. I was against therapy at first but I cannot express just how thankful I am for Austin’s help. 10/10.
