I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and have been in the field since obtaining my Masters degree from New York University, in 2001. I have worked primarily with children and adolescents and Adults, living with mental health and or other social stressors. I have also received a 3 year Post masters certificate in Clinical implications when working with Children Adolescents and families. In my experience, I have also worked with ones who deal with depression, anxiety, self esteem, borderline personality disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Relationship issues, parenting issues and overall enhancing ones self perception.
My general stance is that everyone wants to be heard, loves, accepted and not judged for their thoughts and feelings. In therapy, that is my primary goal, by providing the safe and judgement free space, to share and explore those underlying thoughts and feelings, that cause unrest or angst within ones soul. I look beyond what is presented at the surface, and might explore environment, spiritual, and relationships.
I look forward to being a part of that journey, and seeing you thru the process towards your end goal. I am honest, direct, yet mindful of where you are in your process. If you seek a neutral voice, then I am here, however, if you seek to be told, only what you want to hear, we might not be a good fit. Let's get this work started!
- Stress, Anxiety
- Relationship issues
- Family conflicts
I also have experience in Parenting issues, Self esteem, Bipolar disorder

Ava is an awesome counselor, she makes you feel like more of a friend than a client. She's so easy to talk to, I would recommend Ava to anyone who is thinking about trying counseling, great experience.
Ava is literally the best thing to ever happen to me. She has help me navigate what I thought were impossible obstacle with my marriage and life in general. If you are looking for a straight talking woman to help you sort “life” out Ava is the one. Cannot speak highly enough of her.
Ava is very insightful. After only a few exchanges and one conversation she was able to help me identify some of the issues I was having and suggest some strategies to help deal with them.
Ava is amazing, understanding and nonjudgmental. Everything you’d want in a therapist.
Ava is absolutely amazing to deal with. She listens and gives our advice when needed. She responds so quickly especially with the time difference for me as I live in a different country. She is always willing to have calls to see how you are going and sends messages to check up on you. It has been nothing but a pleasure having Ava as my counselor.
Ms. Griffiths was of great help. I felt stuck and now I feel I have options.
Ava has really helped me to understand what I was dealing with, get a better understanding and how to deal with it in a timely manor. Ava understood my situation right away and was there to support. She has helped me get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself in areas I dismissed or ignored in my life. And the results are positive and effective as I continue to grow in my everyday life.
She is extremely easy to talk to and accepting and encouraging.
Ava’s been great so far! She responds quickly, offers perceptive insight for why you may feel the way that you do, and is very supportive. I’d recommend her to anyone!
It felt like Ava understood me from the first contact, as though we had been talking for years. It was so helpful to get clarity on my situation and she pointed me in a direction where I could begin to help myself from day one. The chats are easy and honest. Ava gently challenges me without judgement and makes me feel heard in this world. She is really helping me grow and make sense of things.
She is excellent. Offered me appropriate resources as I needed them and helped me perceive things in a way that I could not have on my own. I've really appreciated being able to speak to her during quite an emotionally charged point in my life. She is honest and respectful, and has worked really well with me! Thank you Ava!
