About me

Hello! My name is Aysia Jackson, LMFT. I have been providing therapeutic services since 2016. I am currently licensed in both CA and NV. My specializations include working with the 0-18 age population, transitional age youth (TAY) population, families, and adults. I began my mental health journey working with children and families who have been a part of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and the foster care system in California. In addition, I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, domestic violence, trauma, and ADHD. I am trained in multiple evidence-based practices including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Incredible Years child and parent groups.

I earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of La Verne in child development in 2013. After graduation I worked as a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher while studying for Master’s degree, which I earned in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in African American Families from Pacific Oaks College in 2016.

It is my belief that everyone has a story and unique challenges that affect them and I find great pleasure in helping families and individuals work through their situations and develop skills that will benefit them in their daily lives. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Thus far, Aysia has been nothing but kind to me. She works with me at a comfortable slow pace and is always asking how I’m doing and wanting me to succeed. She’s very understanding and down to earth and I every time I speak with her I feel like I’m speaking to a friend I’ve known for a very long time.
