About me

Qualifications: I earned a Doctoral Degree in Professional Counseling from Mississippi College in May 2021. I received a Master’s Degree in Human Relations with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 2006 and additional post graduate training and education from the Department of Counselor Education and Supervision via the University of Wyoming from 2007-2009. Further, I am currently licensed as an LPC #5062 with the Louisiana Board of Examiners, 11410 Lake Sherwood Ave. North Ste. A Baton Rouge, LA 70816 (225)295-8444, as well as an LPC-2209 with the State of Mississippi-- Board of Examiners, located at 350 West Woodrow Wilson Ave. Jackson, MS. 39213. (601) 987 6806.

Counseling Relationship: I see counseling as a unique process by which you the client, and I, the Counselor work together to establish a trusting and respectful mutual relationship. As such, we work together to explore and strategize using various evidence-based methods to set and successfully obtain the identified realistic goals.

Theoretical Framework: My work is guided by a basic belief in humanity as interpreted by a spiritual perspective, which demands that all humans, regardless of race, religion, creed, color, ethnicity, etc., have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. I endeavor to treat clients through the lens of a client-centered humanistic framework while utilizing an integrative theoretical approach. Because no one client presents with the exact same need, wants, or capacity, a combination of skills, ideas, and techniques are used to create a unique formulation that is tailor-made for each client’s problem.

Area of Focus: My passion is working with individuals from all walks of life who may struggle with interpersonal or intra-personal relationship issues. My training and experience includes, not limited to, working with adults, youth, adolescents, couples, and families experiencing a plethora of presenting concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and/or other mood disturbances, etc.

If you or a love-one may be facing challenges that are negatively impacting your present or future ideal self, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to our future collaborations!
