ABOUT ME


My name is Barbara Martin. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a Business Degree from North Carolina Central University, Durham, North Carolina. Also, I hold the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW) credential. I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals who struggle with Depression, Anxiety/Stress, Parenting Issues, self-esteem, and coping with life changes.
I believe the therapeutic relationship between a therapist and client is paramount. Being able to feel connected and comfortable to share your feelings with your therapist is extremely important.
I utilize an eclectic approach to meet your needs, to include but not limited to: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Supportive Psychotherapy, Psycho-dynamic Approaches, Psycho-Education, etc.
