About Me
Hi. My name is Beth and I have been a social worker for 20 years, primarily I have worked as a therapist. I have worked with persons who are dealing with life problems whether basic or complex. I am believer in the person. Help me help you to help yourself. Some times we can get so caught up in life that we forget we've got the strengths we do to pull ourselves out of bad situations--until someone comes along and reminds us, the answer was there all along.
My focus is you. I want to go where you want to take me, I am a client centered therapist who utilizes motivational interviewing and solution focused techniques. The most important part of therapy is the rapport between myself and you, having that connection is the key to success.
I have worked with persons with and without diagnosable mental health difficulties including substance abuse and trauma. I believe in mindfulness based techniques, i am a strong supporter of journaling--though realize and respect that it isn't for everyone. I believe we all have the power to heal ourselves, it is just that sometimes we need some help, and there's nothing wrong with that. To come to a place like this and ask for help is a huge step, how brave you are.

She was extremely compassionate and very helpful.
Beth helps me to understand that I am not the only person who has my issues, while at the same time, not dismissing how the issues impact me. She provides numerous resources for me to read and think about on my own time. Beth has gotten to know me and what works for me.
Beth is insightful and compassionate.
Beth is encouraging and understanding. I am thankful for our session. She has provided me with worksheets to further understand some things.
I just want to say Beth is awesome and responds in a timely manner. I hit the wrong button on that question
So far it’s been very helpful
I feel like we are working on the same direction and she is kind and patient in letting me work through what has just come up
I’ve been working with Beth for 5 months and she has given me the tools to battle my anxiety and self-deprecating thoughts. She has also been a great help with improving my overall mental state.
Beth is an excellent therapist. She is an excellent listener who offers many different coping mechanisms for whatever I am dealing with. I never feel judged by her and she is just very laid back but also challenges my thinking, which is super appreciated!
Beth has been helpful and an amazing outlet for me
Beth is fantastic. I started with her upon my primary relationship breakup/heartbreak. Each session has helped. She demonstrates an open mind and keen skill at meeting me where I am. She listens then reflects back to me what she heard in a manner that helps in my despair and confusion, and come to solutions/tactics for coping, healing, growing.

I have been working with Beth for 2 weeks now and she is incredibly helpful she is very easy to contact, listens very well and offers a variety of exercises and solutions I would recommend Beth to anyone seeking help.
Beth has helped me work through so much in the few months that we've worked together! She asks just the right questions and is able to help me see the blind spots in my thought processes. I'm so grateful to have worked with Beth!!
Beth has been incredibly helpful and understanding. She has given me so many tools to help me navigate difficult family situations. I have seen an improvement in how I handle situations, set boundaries, and frame conversations after only a few months of therapy. I am very grateful for her expertise.
I absolutely love Beth and am so happy to have been paired with her. She's supportive without also being enabling, is remarkably kind, witty, and patient. I feel so fortunate to have her in my corner.
Beth is a great therapist! She really listens to me and I am glad we have the same sense of humor. I appreciate the meditations and affirmations that she sends during the week. I really enjoy the video sessions that we have and her ability to connect and listen to me.

It is very nice to be able to talk to someone. I immediately felt a great connect with Beth. I felt like we have been friends for a while. I appreciate her listening, I’m hoping she will be giving more feedback as well as identifying key triggers in my life. Thank you Beth!!
Beth laughs at all my bad jokes and is an excellent listener. She is direct and to the point without ever making me feel judged or criticized. She gave me several tools that help me in difficult moments and was always good at checking in and making sure my self-care was being prioritized. Thank you, Beth!
Beth Leary is a very understanding and supportive therapist. Although I haven’t been using BetterHelp for very long I can already feel how much it has helped me by just having someone there to listen to you when we you need it and help you realize something or recommend something worth doing.
