My name is Bevelyn Johnson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience with adults, children, and families and I am looking forward to learning more about who you are and how I might contribute to you experiencing your best life. I have worked with people from various backgrounds and cultures, lived in various communities, states and countries. I have worked in multiple work environments including, a children's psychiatric hospital setting, women's center, domestic assault shelter, private practice, outpatient mental health settings, university, engineering firm, economic development organization, etc. I have led and developed a variety of self help groups including, divorce recovery, parenting, self esteem, financial management, leadership development, etc. For 23 years I ran my own small business and am very very passionate about working with people who face career decision making concerns, struggle with financial management, leadership issues, career development and executive coaching.
I love engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds and am honored that they allow me to be a part of their life and their change. I feel strongly and have been told that I am compassionate, person centered, have a natural ability to help others problem solve; am very engaging, easy to talk to and with, while also being realistic and supporting others to be their best self.. Bevelyn is the best therapist I’ve ever had, and I’m only 1 session in!! It’s a bonus that she is so responsive and offers texting and flexible appointment options. But as someone who is very aware of her issues and has seen a lot of therapists over the years, I can confidently say that Bevelyn called me out on my thoughts in a way that jerker me out of my stuck feeling. I’ve already thought through my issues, so a therapist who repeats it back and asks me to elaborate doesn’t help me. If you’re similar, Bevelyn is the perfect therapist. She makes me see my thoughts from a perspective I have t thought of, which is saying something!

Bevelyn is an amazing counseller! From our very first session I went in with an idea of what I would need to address. Bevelyn was able to make me feel comfortable to work on these problems and understand some habits which I was blindsided to.
Throughout our session we came to solutions and positive actions which have had a great impact on my life.
I am no longer taking sessions as I feel I am in a much better space. However if or when in need I will surely reach out to Bevelyn for more sessions. If you are new to therapy or have a history I would definitely recommend Bevelyn.
