About Me

Hi, I'm Beverly and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have had the opportunity to gain extensive counseling experience in a variety of setting and various populations. My experience ranges from private practice to school setting and community counseling clinic; providing counseling in both English and Spanish. I have also worked with a variety of individuals including children, adolescents, and adults; as well as individuals and families. I received my Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences and Masters in Counseling. Currently I am also in a psychology doctoral program and working towards my PsyD as a Counseling Psychologist.

My areas of speciality are stress, depression, anxiety, career counseling, chronic pain, grief, parenting, school issues, life transitions, and peer relationships. I also enjoy have much experience in working clients who are managing chronic health conditions. I would describe my treatment approach as strength-based, person centered brief therapy. In my clinical work, I use various interventions from CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and ACT.

For those that are new to counseling, my hope is to be able to meet you where you are and build upon your strengths to address you presenting concerns. My approach to counseling is generally brief oriented, but would also depend on your particular needs. My overall goal would be create a safe space in which you feel open and comfortable to address what is on your mind.
