About Me

Hello, my name is Billie Trahan, LPCC. I have been a counselor for 17 years, with experience regarding a wide variety of issues, including, but not limited to, trauma, family issues, domestic violence, and mood disorders. I have worked in a range of clinical settings and with all ages and populations. I have extensive experience in trauma related issues, primarily abuse. I have worked as an on-site therapist in school settings, providing trauma based debriefing and grief counseling to students after traumatic events in the school or with fellow students. I also have experience in working with adults, particularly regarding mood disorders, substance abuse and trauma. My clinical approach is primarily cognitive behavioral therapy; ultimately, I always meet the client where they are currently to work through whatever issues that the client feels should be addressed.

Deciding to begin counseling can be an anxiety provoking situation. I will do everything I can to make sure that this experience is as comfortable for the client as possible in order to get the most out of the counseling sessions. I look forward to talking with you!

I am honored to be working with Billie. She speaks to me as her equal and we have non judge mental conversations. I love how our sense of humor matches each other. I’ve had one season so far and I already feel as though I can really open up to her. I have been a long time skeptic of any sort of therapy, but I’m glad I have decided to give better help a try. I look forward to what the future will bring.

Billie is WONDERFUL!!!!!! She's kind, responsive, caring, validating - everything I could ever hope for in a therapist. I came from a very abusive, traumatic childhood that still influences who I am, and Bilie is helping me undo that damage. She answers me every day, responds to everything I write to her, and always answers my questions. When I get stuck, she nudges me forward with gentle suggestions that I can use or not. She's respectful and gentle ALWAYS! I feel like I'm making so much progress with her, and I feel so, so, SO lucky to have her!

Billie has been such a blessing to my life. I reached out when I felt like I was hitting rock bottom. Billie helped me see through a lot of what I was going through.
